Yves Dusenge
I like to build and tinker with systems that move data, surface insight, and facilitate decision under uncertainty.
Chapter I · About
I am a software and data engineer with a foundation in economics. I build practical systems that move data, surface insight, and make decisions easier. My work lives at the intersection of analytics, product, and AI, and I care deeply about craft, clarity, and the human consequences of technology.
I have worked across remote teams in the US and Canada, and I co-founded a startup focused on fisheries in Southern Africa. The through-line is always the same: build with empathy, design for real constraints, and keep learning in public.
Snapshot
- Focus: data engineering, full-stack product, AI-assisted workflows
- Domains: analytics pipelines, decision support, community-focused products
- Interests: economics, history, probability, systems thinking, and incentives

Chapter II · Recent Posts
- Posts coming soon.
Projects and Builds
- High-performance ETL platform for BI analytics on AWS.
- AI-assisted coding workflows to reduce time-to-ship.
- Community childcare discovery app with React + TypeScript.
- PII anonymization systems for responsible data use.
- Marketplace platform for fisheries in Southern Africa.
Chapter III · Principles and Values
- Build with compassion: listen first, design around real stakes, ship with dignity.
- Define the event: operational definitions create shared reality.
- Probability is belief updated by information, not a fixed property of the world.
- Learning is log-normal: new domains have long tails and hidden steps.
- Compound curiosity: each answer should unlock a better question.
- Honor the work: craft and pacing matter.
Chapter IV · Questions I am wrestling with
- How do we teach resilience without celebrating burnout?
- What does a humane partnership with AI feel like day-to-day?
- How might communities scale trust as they scale impact?
- How do incentives shape the ethics of technology?
- What does good decision-making look like under deep uncertainty?
